The nClouds team joined tech enthusiasts, industry leaders, and innovators for a day filled with insights and networking at AWS Summit New York 2024 on July 10.
This year’s summit featured over 170 sessions, offering a broad spectrum of topics and technical depth, catering to a wide range of interests and expertise. Our team had the privilege of hearing directly from AWS experts, builders, customers, and partners, who shared their valuable insights on generative AI, analytics, AI and machine learning, industry solutions, and much more.
Brad Winney, CEO; Chris Gebhardt, CISO; Randy Newell, advisor of business development and alliances; Scott Campbell, senior accounts manager; and Faisal Afzal, principal solutions architect, were among the team that represented nClouds.
The nClouds team kicked off the Summit experience on July 9 by attending the GSCA Happy Hour to promote how nClouds keeps generative AI (GenAI) secure and compliant. This event was an excellent opportunity for our team to connect with AWS customers and partners who are keen on the future of GenAI, including Tom Sawyer, an AWS representative promoting the AWS Global Security and Compliance Program at the event.
The summit itself began with an insightful introductory presentation by Matt Wood, vice president of AI products at AWS. He emphasized the importance of starting with pervasive and efficient experimentation when working with GenAI.
“There’s no Swiss-army-knife solution when it comes to a model,” Matt stated. He advised businesses to select their models based on specific needs, noting that the majority of customers use more than one model to achieve their goals. He underscored that “consistency, coherence, and control are delivered through data.”
On July 10, the nClouds team proudly attended the Cloud Wars GenAI event. Our representatives arrived in style, donning custom Cloud Wars shirts, which are now available for any Cloud Wars enthusiasts interested in GenAI.
The AWS Summit New York 2024 was an invaluable experience for the nClouds team.
